For the life you’re living
A first job offer, a folder of documents, a medical appointment, or bringing an animal home can raise many questions at once. SelfChapter brings together practical information to help you start with what you need now, without assuming every situation is the same.
Our goal is to provide clarity and useful resources. The guides can help you prepare for a decision; they do not decide for you or promise to resolve a personal situation on their own.
Six topics, different ways to get started
We organize the library into Work, Money, Rights and procedures, Health and well-being, Family, and Pets. You can browse by topic, explore all the guides, or follow a chapter connected to a stage of life.
The search tool lets you filter by country when location is relevant. The language selector sets the reading language and does not, by itself, hide guides from other countries. We show the territory covered by each article so you can assess whether it applies to you.
From reading to action
Articles bring together a main idea, navigable sections, steps, checklists, and sources. The tools let you work with budgets, comparisons, documents, or care. Templates can be downloaded and adapted.
You can try them without an account. Your figures and notes stay in your browser, and saving them on your device is optional. Examples are identified as fictional, and each calculation explains its assumptions and limits.
Created by the SelfChapter editorial team
The publication is part of Merito Media LLC and shares the editorial network’s commitment to visible sources, attributions, and corrections. The publishing entity is responsible for the project and its operation.
We use an automated process with AI to discover documentation, draft content, and check it. The methodology explains which checks are performed and their limits. We do not present an automated check as an individual review by a health, legal, or financial professional.
Dates, scope, and independence
We distinguish between initial publication, substantial updates, and source checks. An automated query that makes no changes is not presented as an improvement to the article. Original sources make it possible to verify claims and whether they are current.
The project is developed using the group’s resources. SelfChapter does not use its own advertising networks; Google Maps has its own terms. Any sponsored content or commercial relationship that is introduced must be clearly identified.
Follow the project and help us improve
You can receive the free newsletter, which is prepared daily when there are at least five new eligible articles, or follow updates via RSS. You don’t need to subscribe to read or use the tools.
At the end of the guides, you can rate their usefulness. For a documented correction, a question about the project, or an accessibility barrier, contact SelfChapter and include “SelfChapter” in your message.
